Quantum presents world’s first DVB-H Pocket TV with sat-nav functions

GPSnews: Quantum, a provider of high-quality, innovative multimedia and mobile “Personal TV” experience devices, and AvMap, the Italian leader in Satellite Navigation systems, during 3GSM 2007 announced the launch of QTM 1000 Nav  the world’s first device to integrate portable TV and satellite navigation (sat-nav) advanced technologies.

The QTM 1000 combines the best in mobile entertainment with a top-of-the-line GPS solution. With a stylish hardware casing featuring a 4.3” display, the QTM 1000 Nav introduces the concept of Ubiquity TV: for the first time ever, Pay-TV is leaving home and going fully mobile. This personal, pocket TV makes it easy to enjoy one’s favourite video entertainment anywhere, anytime.

The QTM 1000 Nav will be available in all countries deploying DVB-H PayTV services such as Italy (…), Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, Russia, U.S.A., Brasil, Mexico, E.A.U , K.S.A..

The devices will be priced at about 400 € with 3 Italia offer in April.
