Heise: The insolvent mobile phone manufacturer BenQ Mobile, which at one time employed more than 3000 people in Germany, will be broken up and liquidated. Talks with the last party interested in taking over the company had failed, BenQ Mobile’s insolvency administrator Martin Prager said on Sunday in Munich. “Hence from what I can tell there is now no chance of the company being sold as a single entity and relaunched,” he added. The remaining assets of the company — such as, for example, its furniture, factory buildings and machinery – will thus now be turned into cash with the aid of a Hamburg-based auction house.
