AVZombie: Reports about the death of quality AV market may be exaggerated. D&M Holdings, owner of high-end AV brands Denon, Marantz, McIntosh, Boston Acoustics and Snell has reported a big jump in revenue.
Declaring an operating profit of over 36 million dollars for the nine months ending December 2006, it says this rise of 103 per cent is the biggest in its history. D&M Holdings says the high-end AV market delivered a rise of 11 per cent year on year.
Stated chairman Eric C. Evans: “We are pleased with our overall results through the nine months and were very satisfied with the market reactions to our products during the holiday season. We had a great third quarter and we continue to focus on ways to improve our gross and operating margins.”
