Heise: The talks on a compromise on an EU-wide regulation of mobile roaming charges are apparently not making progress.
On Wednesday representatives of the EU Commission, the European Parliament and the EU member states were unable to agree on a common approach, the southern German daily Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ) reports.
To give the Council of Ministers ample time to approve its proposal and thus allow the regulation to come into force ahead of the summer recess the EU parliament will vote on a joint proposal next week.
Should the parties in the next round of talks scheduled for Thursday not come to an agreement, the reduction of roaming charges will likely be postponed. (…)
