DigiTimes: Samsung recently introduced sixteen new LCD monitors in Taiwan, with sizes ranging from 19 to 57 inches. These screens will hit the market in the second half of this year, said Samsung Taiwan.
Targeting the medical market, the 57-inch LCD screen is claimed to be the largest screen in the local market. The company already has large-size LCD screens such as 32-, 40-, and 52-inch models available in Taiwan for public display use.
Although the overall sales volume for the 32-, 32-, and 52-inch LCD screens is not significant, the sales of these screens will help boost the company’s profits, said Samsung Taiwan, adding that the 57-inch LCD monitor will not target the TV market due to a different panel technology applied by the monitor, the company added.
