Wired: High end audio and video equipment maker Bang & Olufsen is reportedly getting out of the cellphone business. The company has released just two cellphones, the Serene and Serenata, over the last four years in collaboration with Samsung.
Now facing financial pressure, Bang & Olufsen has decided to end that partnership and focus on its core products, reports a Swedish site.
Bang & Olufsen’s handset Serene was designed by the company but produced by Samsung. The phone released in 2005 was a luxury product and then retailed in Bang & Olufsen’s stores for 1100 Euros.
