JVC introduces the world’s first home 3D projector

T3: Good news for lovers of multi-dimensional movies – JVC is introducing the world’s first home 3D projector, the JVC DLA-RS2. And this time, you don’t need the geek glasses.

How does it work? Well, it’s all about D-ILA projection and stereoscopic video processing, combining to produce a high-def (1080p) 3D viewing experience without the coloured cardboard specs.

We suspect that there isn’t a glut of 3D titles waiting to go, so it’s just as well that JVC is offering 2D encoding too, which means you can use it as a standard HD projector until the movie makers catch up with the technology.

I have been looking at all the latest projectors and recently got a small portable projector for my works presentations. I have been looking at getting one for the home and this looks quite good.

    Thanks for the heads up
