Dealerscope: Bose announced that it is laying off 1,000 employees- 10 percent of its work force.
The cuts, according to the Associated Press, will come from various areas, including manufacturing and the company’s Framingham, Mass., headquarters.
“We have been staffed for a growing economy, not a global recession,” company spokeswoman Carolyn Cinotti said in a statement. “As a global company, we are responding to these challenges.

I still have several friends that work for Bose, all I can do is hope for the best. To all you Bose employees that are losing your jobs, take heart in the fact that having Bose on your resume will open a lot of doors. I would know, the very name of the company ALONE got me interviews, and that’s the whole trick, isn’t it?
