Bang & Olufsen’s BeoVision 4-85 TV combines 3D and Full HD with superfluous sleekness

Engadget: Bang & Olufsen‘s new BeoVision 4-85 isn’t just another run-of-the-mill 3D TV for the unwashed masses. It’s a really pretty 3D TV, for the refined and the opulent. The 85-inch plasma screen comes encased in a high-grade aluminum frame, and combines anti-reflection coating with automated image controls, to guarantee crystal clear, Full HD viewing at any time of day. B&O’s first foray into the 3D/Full HD realm also features a BeoLab 10 central loudspeaker, which uses Acoustic Lens Technology to deliver consistently high-frequency sounds, regardless of where you’re sitting in relation to the speaker. And, much like its 103-inch brethren, this 85-incher comes with a motorized stand, which automatically elevates and tilts the screen to ideal viewing position whenever the system is turned on. Once you’ve finished marveling at the BeoVision 4-85′s robust design, you can turn it off and watch in awe, as the display magically lowers itself to “within inches” of the floor (where, incidentally, you’ll also be able to find your jaw). No word yet on the price of this experience, but we’re gonna go out on a limb and assume that it’s pretty steep. The beast is set to be unleashed in Moscow tomorrow, but you can check out an appropriately slick car commercial video on the BeoVision 4 family, after the break.

Bang & Olufsen’s 4-103 BeoVision Plasma Is Huge and Self Calibrating

Gizmodo: At over $135,000 (around €98,000), Bang & Olufsen’s BeoVision 103-inch plasma set costs nearly triple Panasonic’s 103-inch baby or just as much as the 150-inch plasma champion of the world. Why?

Besides the fact it’s from the B&O, when you turn the monster on, it comes alive, the stand elevating itself to your viewing level as the ten-inch loudspeaker emerges from the bottom the of the frame. It turns and tilts too.

Also, every 120 hours it re-calibrates itself. Now that is luxury. Hoarding your money only makes the recession worse, so as long as you’re not an AIG executive, what are you waiting for? Oh yeah, July, when it goes on sale.

B&O launches entry-level 40-inch LCD TV

B&O: With its attractive price point, the BeoVision 8 TV now also comes in a 40-inch version that offers a Full High Definition experience based on a glare LCD screen with a range of exciting new picture improvement technologies.

B&O Beovision 8 40-inch LCD TV

The new 40-inch version of the acclaimed BeoVision 8 TV combines a technologically advanced home cinema viewing experience with the straightforward elegance and ease of use characteristic of this compact TV concept.

The new technologies include double frame rate technology, also known as 100Hz, with motion compensation. As a consequence, the picture refresh rate has been doubled compared to conventional LCD TVs, and the inherent blur of LCD technology has thus been reduced significantly.

BeoVision 8 40-inch also includes contrast improvement technology – so-called Dynamic Contrast – which optimizes the contrast according to the picture content in each scene. In addition, both BeoLink home integration functionality and extra video connections can be included with a convenient plug-and-play module.
