New fashion phones from Levi’s

Engadget: Levi’s has just announced its new line of self-branded phones made with more than a little help from ModeLabs.

Unfortunately, there’s not a whole lot in the way of technical details at the moment, but Levi’s is more than willing to talk up the phone’s various style advantages, including its riveted steel casing and detachable chain.

From the looks of it, you’ll also be able to get the phone in your choice of five color schemes, including metallic silver, black, brown copper, “shiny silver,” and “shiny sand” — the latter two of which also come with “mirror” screens.

More details should be trickling out as we near the phone’s September launch date, which appears to be confined to Europe for the time being.

Julien MacDonald dresses Sony Ericsson

Gadgetcandy: Sony Ericsson’s K510i has been given a model makeover by Julien MacDonald. (…) The funky fashion designer has stripped the mobile of its formerly midnight black and polished purple bod’ and replaced it with a vibrant floral print that would look great on a smock top and paired with skinny jeans.
“The print I decided to use for the Sony Ericsson K51Oi was taken from my spring summer 07 collection,” explains Julien. “The print was inspired by exotic flowers, Orchids in particular, so thought it would be perfect for the spring launch of this handset.” We couldn’t agree more.

Rumor: Gucci geared up to create a ‘Gucci phone’

Newlaunches: It doesn’t come as a surprise to me that Gucci has jumped on to the bandwagon of creating a “Gucci phone”!
After all famed international brands like Prada, D&G and Tag Heuer have taken the plunge in it since some time now.

What has got my imagination to toil is the outcome of this particular fashion phone. The whole buzz has been generated by two pictures that appeared on Flickr. Although it seems like a touchscreen cell phone, you never know it can also churn out to be a clam sell or a slider one!

Nokia 7373 gets a special fashion edition

Gadgetcandy: Nokia has teamed up with fashion designer Giambattista Valli to give the L’Amour 7373 handset an extra dose of je ne sais quoi
The Nokia 7373 was gorgeous to begin with. Now that Valli has added slinky extras like his iconic pearl necklace as a strap on the powder pink handset, and a crystal strap and miniature black skull on the glossy dark blower, it’s achieved haute-coutue status. (…)

The Nokia 7373 Special Edition fashion phone will be unveiled at Paris Fashion Week in powder pink and black chrome. Its dreamy bod’ comes pre-loaded with behind-the-scenes video footage of Valli, as well as designer wallpapers, graphics and an exclusive ringtone.
We don’t have any specific retail details for you at this stage. All we know is that it’ll be available in “select European markets” during March for around £188 (about 280 euro) before taxes and all the rest.

The word ‘Fashion phone’ gets a new meaning, ever since Levi Strauss Europe announced an exclusive agreement to design, produce, and distribute a range of mobile phones and mobile phone accessories for men and women under the Levi’s brand label in 2007.

Samsung E500 Versus

Fa-fa-fa-fa fashion phones the sequel. Seems like Versace’s betting on two horses. Last year, they made a special version of the Nokia 7270. But now, they’ve teamed up with Samsung too.

The Samsung E500 Versus offers three colour options: white and gold, white and antique pink, and black and silver.

Samsung adds in its press release this clamshell mobile phone sports a 1.3 megapixel camera, Music Player and Bluetooth. We doubt fashionistas even care…
