LG’s 8MP KC910 spotted

Stuff.tv: News came in that LG, the Viewty maker, is about to unleash their very own 8MP camera, the KC910.

Originally mooted way back at the start of July, the chaps at PhoneArena now have snaps of the new device in all its glory.

As you can see, we’re looking at a full touchscreen blower, like the Prada and aforementioned Viewty.

As well as the now ubiquitous 8MP sensor, you get 7.2Mbps HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, TV output, DivX and XviD support and a 3in screen. And all this in a slinky 14mm frame.

Word to the wise is that this will surface in October.

The industry probably hasn’t helped itself, with various manufacturers and broadcasters throwing around the terms “HD Ready”, “HD Ready (Full HD)” and “Full HD”. It means four out of five people don’t really understand what the terminology means, nor the differences.

One in four Brits believe that owning a TV displaying the HD Ready logo instantly makes all programmes high definition.
